The on-site filming of TV series Yu Chenglong wrapped up in Luocheng, Guangxi Province on May 31.

The TV series tell the story of Yu Chenglong, known by people in the Qing dynasty as the 'honest official' and greatly loved and respected, who acted to fight corruption and carried out people-oriented governance against all odds. 

Director Ziniu Wu spoke highly of the series. He said that the drama has achieved high standard in every aspect of production and his team has made sure that the series would attract the audience with great story-telling, characterization and top production standard.

In order to bring the character of Yu to life, the production team tried their best to reproduce his life trajectory. 813 staff and actors were divided into three teams and moved across four locations in China for filming for three months. A filming facility was built in Luocheng, where Yu once worked as the County Magistrate, to assist filming needs.

The drama has entered post-production stage and is expected to be aired later this year.
