Synopsis:

A spectacular costume drama about the legendary 17th-century Chinese general Zheng Chenggong, who drove Dutch invaders away from Taiwan. As a young man freshly returned from his studies and filled with patriotic passion, Zheng finds himself at the alternation of two dynasties and torn between his own belief to serve the Ming Dynasty and the betrayal of his father - a Ming Governor who has surrendered to the Qing Emperor. Action star Zhao Wenzhuo (Green Snake, Once upon A Time in China) superbly played Zheng, with great backings from co-stars character actor Du Zhiguo, popular actress Shui Ling (TV-version Couching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Japanese actress Yoko Moshida. Zheng Chenggong is a tale about faith and belief, loyalty and betrayal - a not-to-be-missed Chinese version of Brave Heart.
